Green glass was popular in the 18th century, partially because it filtered out some of the light from tainting the spirits inside. This flask holds about 20 oz and is 7 inches tall.
7" tall
The flask appears a bit smaller and less green than I would have anticipated. However, it fills itself with rum very well for a neat pyrate effect. Much cheaper than other flasks on the market and more functional!
Mine isn't green, it's definitely brown, see photo of a ceiling fan light shining through the neck of the bottle. The entire bottle appears to be that color. This doesn't really matter other than lightly treading on my aesthetic (I would have definitely preferred green if given the choice, but I doubt anyone else will notice or care, and it's not really worth the effort for me to try to exchange it), but if the color matters greatly to you, it is something to be aware of. It does not seem to have come with a cork, which is something else to be aware of. Otherwise it appears perfectly serviceable as a bottle, and should make a great water/juice/other bottle for ren faire, LARP or re-enactments.
Very impressed with weight & construction, Great Rum Flask...Thanks.
