Knee breeches were a common pant in the 18th century, and are appropriate for French and Indian War through the American Revolution. These are made of a very nice medium weight 80/20 linen cotton with matching covered buttons and fit true to waist size in inches.
Additional sizing information:
The size of the breeches is in inches with the gusset completely closed. To find your size, measure around your waist where the breeches will sit. Then enter that number below to verify your size.
The brown linen breeches are well made and the waist size was fine. Unfortunately the length was a bit too far below the knee and fit around the thigh was too loose. Other than the waist size no other measurements are asked for when ordering. When I called to see what could be done I was informed to take them to a tailor. Luckily for me I was able to locate a tailor in the re-enactment community that was able to to the alterations needed. I did have to do a bit of searching to find him as most places that do alterations in my area are unfamiliar with 18th Century clothing, this of course being the 21st Century.
