The right coat can change a whole outfit. Nearly every 18th century man would have worn a coat over his waistcoat to be properly dressed. This is appropriate for any middle and upper middle class impression in the later part of the 18th century. The collar and cuffs on the sleeves add a level of refinement, taking it a step up in class from our other 1770s civilian coat. Made of a medium weight wool, this can be worn for the majority of the year.

Frock runs small but excellent quality

I bought mine last year at Camden, sc event and out of haste accepted that is was smaller than what size indicated. I only button the upper bottoms so I can live with it. Great construction and is fully lined. Should last many years of reenacting use

    Nice coat

Great coat but I had to shorten the sleeves about 4 inches. It was easy to remove the cuffs, shorten the length and reattach the cuffs and buttons.

Green Frock Coat size 60 ran small

The coat was very well made, unfortunately it did not fit. I previously purchased a Civilian Jacket size 60 that fits perfectly and true to size. The Frock Coat size 60 ran several sizes too small and I was unable to button it.
