This natural colored lightweight linen-cotton blend shirt is perfect for any 18th century man as linen would have been the most common fabric. The neck features a small bone button for the closure. There are triangle gussets under the arms, indicative of the 18th century, and shoulder reinforcements to make the shirt more durable. The sleeves are held closed with small bone buttons at the cuff.

      Linen cotton shirt

The quality of the shirt is fine but I had to return the shirt and purchase an oversized XL because the sleeves were too small at the wrist and couldn’t be buttoned. I would suggest that the shirts you sell be tailored for 21st century customers, and not 18th century men.

      Economical Option for Living Historians

The shirt is good quality. The fabric is a bit rough out of the box so definitely wash before wearing. This is a great option for living historians on a budget or those just starting out with reenacting. We purchased several for our “loaner” locker for people new to our regiment who haven’t had the opportunity to build their kit yet.
