This hardwood desk folds up nicely for easy transportation and storage. There is a drawer large enough to hold stationary and other writing supplies. The top has a groove to rest your pen or quill. Also, two spaces at the top are great for keeping an inkwell.

There's not a single negative thing that can be said towards the fold-out desk. It is attractive, it's solid, and it's definitely a conversation piece. I got my set for the Christmas season to write a few cards on at work, and with my red waistcoat on an elf at work happened to see me, and took a photo that seemed to pop right out of the North Pole--or the 1780s, as the case may be!
