This is a gorgeous pie plate. Used for baking in a Dutch oven with a trivet in a hearth and it was both beautiful and historic. Worked a treat as well. It has a bit more of a curve vs an angular meeting of bottom to sides, which made no difference to me, but is most different from my modern cooking ware pie plates in this aspect.

My wife has a thing for Redware. She has several old pieces and has gotten many in Colonial Williamsburg. She has used this new pie plate and loves it. Quality is the key and this is pure quality. I am sure she will be getting more.
