Knee breeches were a common pant in the 18th century, and are appropriate for the French and Indian War through the American Revolution. These are made of a very nice medium weight 80/20 linen cotton with matching covered buttons and fit true to waist size in inches.
Additional sizing information:
The size of the breeches is in inches with the gusset completely closed. To find your size, measure around your waist where the breeches will sit. Then enter that number below to verify your size.
Once again, the fit on the breeches was spot-on using the measuring instructions on the site. TRUST what the tape-measure says! Chest, stomach, waist; all right on the money. Perfect for my 1760-1783 interpretation.
breeches were a good fit if a bit loose, although i think that was due to me having lost some weight back in september of this year.No pockets though, nowhere to put paper money or other small coin, all breeches and trousers oughta have pockets for this purpose.Liked the material though, linen was soft and easy to wear no chafing.
