Make Your Own Hand Stitched Historical 18th Century Wool and Silk Mitts perfect for a wide range of interpretations. Here are all the pieces and instructions necessary to make your own lovely woolen 18th Century mitts! This kit makes it simple to construct a pair of fashionable and functional embroidered wool mitts using high quality materials and historic techniques. It is a perfect little project to tuck into a basket or bag and sew at events, and once you’re finished, you’ll be able to look stylish and stay warm at the same time!
The dimensions of the pre-cut pattern pieces measure approximately 14” from point to cuff, and will fit maximum measurements of hand- 8”; wrist- 8”; forearm-12”. They can easily be made smaller during construction.
This kit includes:
-Pre-cut and marked pieces for mitt body, thumb and point lining
-silk sewing thread in a matching color
-Coordinating crewel embroidery thread
-a wool needle case with a sewing needle, embroidery needle, and 6 steel sewing pins
-complete illustrated instructions booklet
-embroidery design templates

Kristin D. Black&Red Mitt Kit
This is a wonderful kit. I'm yet to make them but the instructions are easy enough to follow. The notions are adorably packaged, and the wool is so soft & smooth. I can't wait to put them together & try my hand at some embroidery again (it's been years).
