    Canteen

I just received my canteen and the only thing i need to do is adjust the wood stopper it appears to be a little lose. Other than that it's very well made, it fits the time period perfectly. If you're looking for a canteen that won't leak this is it and the price is right.

    canteen was a stopper

Like the canteen, but it seems to have an issue. Not sure what kind of wood the stopper is made of, but I tried to use it at the Cass River Encampment this weekend, and could not get the stopper out. Seems the water swelled it up enough that it would not come loose. Had to put a wrench on it when I got home to get it out. I'll be replacing it with a cork, I hope. The rope on mine is a lot more 'rustic' looking than the nice white one in the picture, but that's fine with me.
