A waistcoat was an everyday clothing item for a man during the American Revolution. This cut hits the wearer at the waist and the vents in the back and sides are both fashionable and comfortable.  These linen/cotton (80/20) waistcoats are cool in the summer and fashionable all year round. They also have the added benefit of working pockets.

    Quality made clothing

The waistcoat fit perfectly and is very comfortable. I would recommend Samson Historical clothing to anyone looking to buy quality period clothing!

    Fit perfectly

The waistcoat fit my husband perfectly. I’d spoken to someone through the live chat.. and asked for a recommendation for sizing. They were spot on with the information I provided them. My husband said it was comfortable, light weight enough not to interfere with the battle scenerios. The stitching is good quality and we expect to put it to use for many more events. Thank you!

    Button Closures

I liked the overall item, although I would have preferred an option to add additional stitching surrounding (a double-bound) the working for the button holes on the front of the waistcoat for better durability, especially with linen which can unravel easily.
