Knee breeches were a common pant in the 18th century, and are appropriate for French and Indian War through the American Revolution. These are made of a very nice medium weight 80/20 linen cotton with matching covered buttons and fit true to waist size in inches.

    Additional sizing information:

The size of the breeches is in inches with the gusset completely closed. To find your size, measure around your waist where the breeches will sit. Then enter that number below to verify your size.

Exchanges and sizing - Amazing customer service, amazing feel.

Unfortunately, when I had received a pair of these for Christmas, my unusual 6'3" height was not taken into account, and they cinched the middle of the knee uncomfortably due to my leg length. After a brief exchange with Samson Historical, they recommended I get one size up, and were happy to exchange the pair I had received for a new, bigger one. The new one fits perfectly and comfortably, sitting just at the bottom of the knee. Excellent communication, excellent product.

    Quality item.

Well made and surprisingly comfortable, a quality product for the reenactor. Only caveat is follow the sizing recommendations, don’t just assume you know your size.

Nice value for 18th century ready-to-wear

My husband bought these to wear when attending a recent event with me. He’s not used to the fit of 18th century breeches and has gained a little weight, and he found the fit a tad bigger than he found comfortable. In time I’ll alter the fit a little to accommodate him. Otherwise he looked great and we received numerous compliments on his attire.
