This style is considered half-boned vs fully boned. The half-boned stays have strategically placed stiff boning to give the wearer the proper shape. These are available in durable natural colored linen, with a cotton lining. The straps are securely sewn to the inside of the stays, not the binding, so they can be easily removed without damaging the structure of the garment. These stays come with a boned stomacher as well.

      Couldn’t be Happier!!

These are some of my first stays and I couldn’t be more pleased! I used the size calculator and it was spot on, fits great. I have wanted stays for a really long time now and I really debated so I couldn’t be more excited that it turned out so well. Thank you, Can’t wait to shop with Samson again

Not all bodies are the same

My experience with this company has been quite good. I entered in my measurements and it was suggested to get the size 26 front lacing stays. Excited when they arrived, I tried them on right away. Well, I must have lost weight, because when I re measured myself, I should have gotten the 24s. The 26 was top big. Exchange went well and they swiftly got me the smaller ones. They fit great!! However... the horizontal boning across the chest was so long and the front panels too wide for my frame that when standing the boning pushed painfully into my arms. When I sat down, I was still painful but now comical. I couldn't put my arms down. It is cool. I was easily able to remove the bones and I am going to shorten them and see how it goes. Just, when buying these, just remember you may need to do adjustments.
