Our straw hats have a lot of versatility. Wear plain with a hat pin or sew on silk ribbon ties for a pop of color. For a true DIY project, these make a great base for millinery projects. The size option is referring to the brim size.

    13"Straw Hat

It's a perfect size for young ladies. I added ribbon to it to match a gown. Sturdy hat.

    Authentic Style

I ordered the 15 inch size. I decided to splurge on it rather than ordering a boater's hat from Amazon that I wouldn't have been satisfied with. I'm glad I did! The first time I wore it to a 4th of July parade, I tied the ribbon too tightly.

    Nice historically appropriate hat

Such a cute hat. Good quality and this is the best price I have found for a period-correct hat. I also love that there are a variety of brim sizes available. I rarely see that. This will be totally obvious to those who do much historic dress, but if you have not purchased one of these before, you may wish to be aware that it these hats sit on top of your head. They do not fit tightly on your head like modern hats. So you have to secure it to your head - generally with a hat pin or ribbon. I have short hair, so there is not a lot there to secure it to vis-a-vis hair. You may be able to secure it to a cap... but when there is not much hair in there, I find that I need ribbon, too. Plan accordingly. You may wish to order historically appropriate ribbon at the same time.
